✺ Frequently asked questions ✺

  • This is a product that in general requires that you must do the install yourself. Unfortunately, mistakes can be made during self-installation that make it difficult to warranty. However, if a controller is defective on arrival it will be replaced.

  • Actually, this is not really the case. All the ball machines out there require a stand of some kind, and a good quality mobile multiple height stand will cost $200+. It is important to have a stand that does not mark up the court, etc. The controller add-ons add $750 to the cost which makes the combined cost of the Slingerball™ + SMORE™ less than $1,500.

  • It is not very difficult but care must be taken. I t would typically take 2-3 hours to install. It will void the Slingerbag warranty. A brief outline is below:

    • Sensors are placed in the carousal by drilling a 1/4" hole for the sensor cable

    • The ball detection sensor is attached to the by drilling two holes. in the carousal plate

    • The carousal motor cable must be detached and the cable connected to the sensor cable (no soldering)

    • The main motor cables (four in total) must be cut and attached to the integration port. This is done by detaching the face plate

    • The elevation actuator must be attached by drilling a dole near the elevation knob and then replacing the elevation knob with the other end of the actuator.

  • Maybe, but it would almost certainly require a redesign of the existing product, and I think it would also hurt their price point. I am working with Slingerbag to support this option.

  • Yes, the platform can be purchased. It will come with the Slingerbag Oscillator attached. The original oscillator can be return as part of a trade-in. See pricing for details

  • No, I have found it's pretty important to use the right components to make everything compatible

  • The cost of shipment of the Slingerbag is in the $250 for the round trip. However, a new Slingerbag can be send with all the modifications installed. Your original Slingerbag can be sent back as part of a trade-in. Certain conditions apply however.

  • I can honestly say that with these changes it takes an average product into the elite status of ball machines., The ability to practice dinks alone is a huge feature
